WVN-RhI Briefing Day - 17 November 2005

The Welsh Video Network Support Centre is pleased to announce the draft programme for the WVN-RhI Briefing Day.

The event will take place at the Arts Centre at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth on Thursday 17th November. We will be ready to welcome you to the event from 10:00, when tea and coffee will be available, prior to the presentations starting at 10:30. The day will close at 16:15.

The event will be the official launch of WVN-Rhwydiaith (WVN-RhI), which will provide the facilities for the simultaneous interpretation of videoconferences into a second language. This service will be demonstrated during the course of the day.

The event will also concentrate on using videoconferencing for teaching and learning, with practitioners providing examples of good practice and innovative uses of the technology to enrich the learning experience for students.

The booking form can be found at: www.wvn.ac.uk/rhireg.htm

If you plan to attend the event, please complete the booking form as soon as possible, as we will need an indication of numbers as spaces are limited by the size of the venue.

If you have been using videoconferencing in an innovative way and would like the opportunity to talk about what you have been doing to the WVN community, please contact Karen Perrins (k.perrins@ukerna.ac.uk), as she is organising the programme of speakers for the day.

We look forward to meeting you at the Arts Centre on the 17th November.
